photo credit: www.aaliyeh.tumblr.comWell, my friends I am one tired girl. I started off my day by working 12-4 at Dairy Queen, and then came straight home to shower. After bathing and such, I hopped in the car and drove to Guelph (which is about an hour drive) to meet up with Aaliyeh, a photographer. We quickly grabbed all of her supplies and headed out to the forest for a photo shoot. She was very, very organized and you could tell that she had everything mapped out in her head in advance. I got to wear pretty crowns made of flowers (which she made herself) and flowy skirts and dresses. The whole shoot reminded me of The Virgin Suicides, as the photos were taken in a field of tall grass and at that time of day when the sun is about to go down and it casts a golden glow over everything. I won't say much more about the photos now, so it can be a somewhat surprise when they are done ! Anyways, above is a sneak preview that Aaliyeh sent me on facebook, which she said was to make up for my getting eaten alive by mosquitos today ! Also, my DVD of the movie Candy arrived in the mail today !

I know that I change the appearance of this blog more times than most people blink in a lifetime, but here goes: I am thinking of changing it, again.. Something just doesn't look right when the page opens. Now the big question is, should I go for a simple white background ? I have been considering it for a while, but haven't been able to decide. So, I will leave it up to my lovely followers to help me make a decision. Do you agree that white would be easier on the eyes, or is one of the reasons you like this blog because it is not just another plain page ? Help me out by commenting your opinion, as well as any other suggestions you have for either the appearance or content(things I should blog about) of Haggard Library. As always, I value your opinion more than anything since I don't just write this blog for myself ! Also, above is a sexy photo of Heath Ledger for everyone to drool over..and then weep over how much we miss him..
Much love, and can't wait to hear your thoughts !

The suitcase in these photos is one of my latest vintage treasures. Can you believe that this beauty only cost $28 ? My mom was kind enough to buy it for me when we were in Port Stanley (our last stop on this day trip). I think she might have just bought it so that I would stop pestering her all the time about how much I wanted a piece of vintage luggage.
Tomorrow, if the weather decides to not hate me, I am going to be doing a shoot with a photographer named Aaliyeh (check out her Tumblr portfolio here !). This is going to be the first time I have ever been photographed by someone I didn't know beforehand so I am pretty nervous (and excited), to say the least ! We were supposed to get together last Tuesday, but the weather called for rain all day so we postponed it (and then it didn't rain at all) and now it is supposed to rain tomorrow, as well ! So keep your fingers crossed that it won't ! Also, don't forget to follow Haggard Library on Tumblr !

Today, the humidity finally broke and it poured rain all day. Being cooped up in the house made me go stir-crazy, so I took some outfit photos in the backyard. I extended the height of the brick wall behind me, on photoshop, so that it would give the illusion of a hedge maze (or something like it). I fail miserably with the clone-stamp tool on photoshop, which is why my arm looks butchered in the one photo, so I apologize. I hope that you all had better weather, wherever it is you live. Also, hello to the new followers, and goodbye to the one that stopped following (oh that's right, I noticed hahaha). Don't forget to "like" the Haggard Library page on facebook ! Have a wonderful day !

After the movie, we went to an area of St. Catharines called Port Dalhousie. I love that little town, because there is a beach, a pier, and a ton of little bars and restaurants all in one small area. My parents had considered moving there, but I am kind of glad that we didn't, because the town gets very busy in the summer with tourists. We sat outside, in a little bar trying to beat the heat with some amoretto and coke, and whiskey sour. All in all, it was a great time !

Wildfox Couture may only sell insanely over-priced graphic tee's, but their campaigns and advertisements are always so captivating that it makes me love them just the same.

I bought a cheap camera from a thrift store last winter, and completely forgot about it until recently ! It was only $3, so I was curious to see what kind of photos it would take. Today, I got the film developed and I am pretty pleased with the results ! While this camera doesn't hold a candle to either of my Nikons, it takes some great, rough looking photos. Also, I hope you enjoy the changes I've made to the blog. I get bored very easily, so I needed to change things around !
